Sandeep Mishra

Chair

Sandeep, a leading expert in building systems and coalitions for sustainable impact, has nearly two decades of experience with public systems in India and abroad. He led successful initiatives like the National Coalition for Education and the Gujarat Education Coalition. Sandeep held leadership roles at Central Square Foundation, STiR Education, Quest Alliance, and Azim Premji Foundation. He holds advanced postgraduate degrees in Education, Socio-Political Philosophy, and Environmental Ethics, showcasing his diverse expertise and commitment to educational and social change.

Sriraman

Treasurer

Sriraman is a social sector thought leader and a finance expert. He is a management graduate and also a cost and management accountant by profession. He has been working in this domain for more than three decades and has experience of working with national and international organisations of repute, including at HelpAge India in the role of Chief Financial Officer, and also at WaterAid and the Public Health Foundation of India. He strives for transparency and accountability in the organisations with which he is associated. 

Moutushi Sengupta

Board Member

Moutushi, a social sector professional with over 25 years of experience, excels in shaping organizational strategies for systems change. She has led India-wide programs for the MacArthur Foundation and Oxfam India, and collaborated with the UK’s Department for International Development. Her expertise spans sexual and reproductive health, climate mitigation, gender justice, health, livelihoods, and urban development. Moutushi holds postgraduate degrees in Applied Environmental Economics and Business Administration and is an accredited life coach.

Dengle

Board Member

Bhagyashri Dengle, Regional Director for Asia Pacific at Plan International, brings 30+ years of expertise in institution building, governance, and gender transformative programming. Integral to Plan International’s global leadership, she has spearheaded impactful strategies for girls’ empowerment. As Executive Director of Plan India for 14 years, she significantly expanded its reach, focusing on children, adolescents, and women’s issues. Bhagyashri’s extensive experience encompasses grassroots work, leadership, and transformative advocacy in gender and development.

Viji

Board Member

With extensive experience in the development sector, Viji specialises in education, organisational strategy, and leading diverse global teams. As the former Global M&E Head at STIR Education, she crafted and executed M&E strategies for behaviour change programs in government education systems at scale. Viji has collaborated with various stakeholders, including policymakers and donors. Currently serving as the Associate Director for Policy (Scale-Ups) at J-PAL South Asia, she continues her commitment to advancing impactful initiatives in education and development.

Swaha Sahoo

Director

Swaha is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in creating social impact. As Director at the Centre for Intrinsic Motivation, she advises on large-scale behavior change initiatives. Formerly, she was Country Director (India) at STiR Education and led the Parag Initiative at Tata Trusts, enhancing children’s literature and reading culture across eight states. A World Bank scholar with a degree from the University of Sussex, she is dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and resilience in young people.

Siddharth Shukla

Board Member

Siddharth Shukla, a Chartered Accountant with over 9 years of experience, specialises in Financial Management, Risk Assessments, SOPs, Controls, and Internal Audits. With post-qualification certifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, he has significant experience in the FMCG and NPO sectors. Formerly Sr Associate Head of Finance (India) at STIR Education, he now directs the FinOps function at Schools and Teachers Innovating for Results (India), driving financial efficiency and operational excellence.

Kavita Ghosh

Associate Head- Design & Programme Readiness

Kavita, an advocate for quality and equitable education, has extensive experience as a teacher and pursued higher education focused on field experiences and critical reflection among student-teachers. Currently, she is the Associate Head in the Design & Programme Readiness vertical at the Centre for Intrinsic Motivation. Kavita has previously worked with NCERT and the University of Delhi. Her research is featured in prestigious national and international journals and edited volumes, showcasing her passion for learning and educational excellence.

Shadab Ahmed

Associate Head - Delhi

Shadab has nearly 20 years of experience in the development sector, focusing on education, livelihoods, and health. He excels in system reforms, low-cost education solutions, and Ed-tech integration. Shadab has led initiatives like Learning with Vodafone and the Institute of Livelihood Education. Currently heading CIM’s Delhi programs, he has worked with Pratham, Aide-et-Action, ICFAI University, and Altius College. With experience across 10 states, he is known for designing innovative, sustainable solutions and his collaborative leadership.

Iram Zaidi

Head - Donor Partnership & Communication

Iram, a seasoned global development professional with over 20 years of experience across South Asia, the Middle East, and North America, transitioned from Public Relations to the development sector in 2008. Her expertise includes Violence against Women, gender equality, women’s empowerment, and education. She has worked in fundraising, advocacy, and program implementation for NGOs, INGOs, and foundations in Canada and India. Iram holds a Master’s in Women’s Studies from Simon Fraser University and is a certified Participatory Gender Audit Facilitator by the ILO.

Brisla Rani

Associate Head- Tamil Nadu

Brisla, Associate Head for the TN Program at the Centre for Intrinsic Motivation, brings over 20 years of experience with government and development agencies. She excels in program design, capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, and strategic planning. Brisla has developed training manuals and conducted counseling workshops for community members. A skilled networker, she successfully implemented projects with Save The Children in 100 TN government schools. Trained in participatory rural appraisal and behavioral change communication, Brisla holds a UGC NET qualification in Social Work.

Karthigeyan R

Associate Head - Karnataka

Karthigeyan R, Associate Head (Programme) in Karnataka, has extensive experience across education, factories, software, corporate, government, NGOs, and educational institutes. Focused on capacity building for state and district officers, he has significantly contributed to teacher education reform and government-led educational projects. Driven by a passion for enhancing education quality, Karthigeyan believes in the power of human connection. Leveraging his diverse expertise, he is dedicated to driving meaningful change in educational programs, aiming for a brighter future for all stakeholders.
